Our history
We would be happy to tell you a bit about the history of our farm…
Our farmhouse was built in the 15th century in the typical and pure Pinzgau style and its original structure has been largely preserved. The vaults on the ground floor are original but have been restored over the years.
The showpiece of the centuries-long history of this house is today’s lounge – our “farmer’s room”. This served as a kitchen with an open fireplace until the 18th century.
We were allowed to welcome the first guests in 1970 at the Thomanhof. At that time we had bed and breakfast. These were converted into vacation apartments in 1989 and continuously adapted. During our last renovation of the apartments in 2021, we put a lot of emphasis on natural materials that trigger well-being!
The Thomanhof has been awarded the status of “Erbhof” since 1984. This award is given when a family line has managed the farm for more than 200 years. In our case, the Thomanhof has been family-owned for over 500 years. We are active members of the “Farm Holidays” association and have been classified with 5 flowers in the highest category.
